John Cage:
Experimental Book
John Cage: Experimental Book explores typography and imagery in an abstract way. Instead of offering a conventional reading experience, this booklet provides a unique take on what a booklet can be, with each page treated as an individual art piece. Inspired by John Cage's autobiography and his unconventional approach to music and note taking, the book deconstructs text and image to capture the erratic and overlapping nature of his writings. The gray lines you see throughout the book are broken-up, uncooked pasta noodles, which I was challenged to incorporate as part of a college course. This adds a unifying element to the spreads.
